I once thought them ugly,
these tall, awkward sunflowers,
out of place
in the hard edges of the city.
One of my designs featured in Essence as they celebrate 55 years is one of those moments.
Styled by the incomparable @mspmacklin and shot by the visionary @mickalenethomas, this dress from my Dusk to Dawn collection speaks to the darkness, the beauty and complexity of the times we’re living in.
To see it worn by the legendary Susan L. Taylor… my heart is full.
At the 2024 Fashion Group International “Night of Stars” gala, Alyce Panico, Chairperson of the event and member of the Board of Directors, embodied grace, elegance, and the deep ties that bind the fashion community. Dressed in a breathtaking couture gown, Alyce’s ensemble was not just a fashion statement—it was a tribute to friendship, craftsmanship, and the power of serendipity in the fashion world.
